We are a small animal practice with a hospital in Falmouth and branch surgeries in Helston and Penryn, first established in 1885. At Rosemullion we are passionate about small and companion animal care and our skilled team of veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. We are open seven days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care via our hospital in Falmouth.
With all the worrying things happening in the country and world currently, we are delighted to bring you some good news! At the end of July, building work started on our new state-of-the-art small animal veterinary hospital on the Tregoniggie Industrial Estate in Falmouth accessible on Bickland Water Road (next to the Football Club).
Having outgrown our existing site, it’s been difficult to offer the level of service we want to. We are thrilled to confirm that our hospital in Melvill Road will be relocating to the new hospital in the summer of 2021 – and we can’t wait!
Services and Facilities
The new, much larger site will offer clients and their pets an exciting range of additional services and facilities, complementing those already offered by our branches in Penryn and Helston. Clients will be able to enjoy more flexibility with a greater availability of appointments and services across our three sites.
The land at Tregoniggie offers the space required to build a hospital in a central location with plenty of parking. The new site will have seven consulting rooms, three operating theatres, a CT scanner and a visiting MRI scanner. We are looking forward to growing the services we already offer our first opinion clients and our Advance Veterinary Practitioner lead referral services including orthopaedics, ophthalmology and exotics.
Our aim is to expand our areas of expertise so that we can offer a high level of veterinary care to our patients to reduce the need for our pets and pets from other local surgeries to travel outside of the county for complex cases.
Veterinary care 24/7
For complete peace of mind, the new hospital will also host MiNightVet – Falmouth. This is an enhancement to our dedicated emergency out of hours service with a team of vets and nurses on site with patients 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
After the difficult times we have all been experiencing this year due to COVID-19, it’s something exciting to forward to next summer.
Keep up-to-date with developments through our Facebook page and this news section.
In the meantime, there is no change to our current services and opening hours at all three branches. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding about the new ways of working we have introduced during COVID-19.
